Allows an installer to check the moisture content of a wood floor prior to fitting. This will avoid stability problems further down the line and is also a good reference point for any disputes.
To measure the wood moisture content, insert the spikes firmly into the wood. Depressing the low range button will identify mositure levels between 7% and 15%. If differing levels are indicated, an average value should be taken.
